Next week, a well-known Fortnite leaker is teasing the arrival of a Doom Slayer skin.
The same HypeX that previously disclosed a 40v40 zero-build game mode coming to Fortnite has just released a rather conclusive case for the Doom Slayer’s impending release next week. Referring to @MidaRado’s list of three potential franchise crossovers, HypeX chose Doom for several persuasive reasons.
First, Doom 64 is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store in commemoration of QuakeCon, which is also taking place this weekend. In honor of QuakeCon, all Bethesda games are also on sale. Thirdly, the Fall Guys have lately acquired Doom-themed attire. Fortnite is almost the only Epic property that hasn’t received a Doom flavor blast, but that will likely change next week.
Doom Slayer skin is most likely coming NEXT WEEK 🔥@MidaRado hasn't been wrong about previous collabs and he just tweeted 3 franchise names (Doom included) claiming that one of them happens next week. Doom 64 is also FREE on the Epic Games Store now until the 25th! pic.twitter.com/0AVmjqGEed

One Twitter user did highlight that a Lord of the Rings crossover is still a possibility. On the current Island build, there is a mention to Helm’s Deep, which may be a nice easter egg, or it could be a sign of things to come.
Still plenty of time remains in the season for a Lord of the Rings crossover, but Doom 64 is only free until next week, and QuakeCon concludes on Saturday. In terms of timing, Doom makes the most sense. Stay tuned next week for the answer.
In the meanwhile, the Dragon Ball crossover event is presently active with some entertaining skins, such as Goku, Bulma, and Vegeta, as well as a few fun goods. Possibly the most entertaining is the Kamehameha attack, which allows you to call your chi into a giant, all-consuming blast that can simultaneously take out whole enemy lines. In fact, one YouTuber demonstrated that you can defeat 41 opponents if they line up for you.
