Goku and other Dragon Ball Z characters are said to be joining Fortnite.

(UPDATE: August 11, 2022 – Fortnite confirmed this is occurring with a Dragon Ball Z teaser featuring Super Shenron.)

The Fortnite world is in for a treat, as it seems like the Saiyans will be arriving shortly. Goku and other Dragon Ball characters are making their way to the battle royale island in Fortnite.

According to HYPEX, a well-known Fortnite leaker, a Fortnite and Dragon Ball cooperation will take place towards the end of August. It’s also well timed, since the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero film will be released on August 19. According to Epic’s trends and tendencies, crossover skins are often released alongside the premiere of a franchise’s movie or series as a strategy to promote its material.

Here’s all we know so far about which Dragon Ball characters will be appearing in Fortnite:

Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma, or Android 18
Players will be able to partake in a series of missions laden with goodies to commemorate Dragon Ball’s arrival in Fortnite. In fact, a one-of-a-kind event skin may be available along the road.

Fortnite has verified this leak/rumor with their own tweet, showing Super Shenron in all his splendor hovering over the Fortnite battleground and teasing the date August 16, 2022:

At this point, it’s fair to say that Fortnite is the undisputed king of video game crossovers. Many well-known characters from other video games, TV shows, movies, and anime found their way into the game. Fortnite began its anime skins series with Naruto, one of Shonen Jump’s four anime titans. In reality, Naruto’s item store already contains two rounds of skins. So it makes perfect sense for Goku and the crew to make the switch to Fortnite. When they arrive, Dragon Ball will become the game’s second anime from Shonen’s Big Four.
